Merry Monday #9 of 20

I’ve set a goal for myself of having a new holiday-themed project to share with you every Monday until just before New Year’s, for a total of 20 projects.  Here’s this week’s:
Yes, another cutie from Cookie Cutter Christmas!  They just make me smile, and put me right into the winter and holiday mood.  This little person is all bundled up for the snow, which I always loved as a child (as an adult in the Midwest…not so much!). 
 I really enjoyed the coloring, which I did mostly with a Blender Pen.  This gave it a softer look than using a marker, but isn’t a wet as an AquaPainter.  The parka and mittens are Sahara Sand, the boots are Crumb Cake, the fur trim is Smoky Slate that I went over with Clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer, and the face is Tip Top Taupe.  For the trim I used my Pool Party marker, since I wanted those little areas to pop with a bit more intensity.
For the rest of the card I cut the snow drifts from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using one of the Swirly Scribbles Framelits, and then attached them to a strip of Whisper White that I hand trimmed to match the top curves.  That was adhered to a panel of Pool Party that was embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is from Snow Place and is stamped in Smoky Slate.

Good Things Come in Little Packages!
Every year we give out so many gift cards and little gifts to teachers/neighbors/hostesses/colleagues.  Don’t just put a generic tag or bow on them…come create a stash of creative packaging that will be well received!  Projects will include:

  • Gift card/money holders
  • Wine/beverage bottle tags and wraps
  • Treat packages with treats – perfect for Secret Santa, colleagues, stocking stuffers and more!
