Modern Decking the Halls

By the time December hits, I’m ready to make all the Christmas cards that catch my eye, pretty much CASE-ing (Copy and Share Everything) without apology.  Make the things that make me happy, and get them done to mail out to friends and family!  Today’s card is a CASE of Krista Frattin.  

Did you know that the “reverse” side of the Feels Like Frost DSP is a series of wonderful silver foil designs?  It’s so hard to choose which side I like more!  But in keeping with my taste for more clean-and-simple designs this week I’ve gone with the silver foil stripe.

The Basic Gray panel is embossed with the Subtle 3D folder, and the white sentiment is stamped in Versamark and coated with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder before being heat set.  Pretty Peacock is the modern pop of colour.  I used a Blender Pen to pull colour from the stamping on the ornament/bauble to lightly shade it. I found I had some Silver Baker’s Twine in my retired products stash, which I used instead of Kristin’s plain White Baker’s Twine.  I also chose to add a Silver Metallic Pearl to the centre of the ornament.
