Mother’s Day Gift Sets

Here are the projects we made in my Mother’s Day Gifts class last Saturday.
This set features the Magnolia Lane Suite, with a card and Ghirardelli Chocolates box.
This set features the Honey Bee stamp set and coordinating Detailed Bees dies and Golden Honey Designer Series Paper.  This time I included a covered notepad.  The layout for this card was CASE’d from Lori Skinner, though I wound up changing several of the elements.

I’ve made the Ghirardelli Chocolates boxes and the covered notepads many times before.  Both use tutorials from Splitcoaststampers.com, my go-to long before Pinterest and still one of my favourite sources for technique and project tutorials.  If you’re outside the U.S. and would like my measurements for making the notepad using half an A5 notepad just drop me a line and I’ll get them to you.

If you’re in Australia and know of a similar choccy that would work for this box please let me know!  I hand-carried these back from the U.S. in February because I can’t source them here.  I did find something similar from Whittaker’s when I was in New Zealand, but again, they don’t seem to be stocked in Australia.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who are moms/mums on Sunday!

Upcoming Classes

FREE Double Wonder Social Crafting Session with Tutorial – use your own supplies or purchase a kit!
Let’s get together and craft via Zoom!  Shannon West, a Stampin’ Up! staff member, created a fun template to transform 2 half sheets of Designer Series Paper (DSP) into 11 cards.  I will provide the template/measurements in a tutorial (for either Letter (inches) or A4 (centimetres) cardstock, and we can all meet up on Zoom to cut and assemble together!  This is a great way to use up some of your paper hoard and get a bunch of cards ready to send out or give as a gift pack.

Zoom Session: Saturday, 16 May, 10:00 am AEST.  Check the time for your location.

If you’re in Australia I can also send your choice of kits

  • Your choice of 2 half sheets of uncut DSP, 11 shapes for sentiments, 11 unscored coordinating card bases and Whisper White inside panels, 11 envelopes, $25.00

  1. Hi,

I was searching the net for a nice SU Mother’s Day card and saw the Magnolia card you made in 2020. It’s a gorgeous card! Are the colors Old Olive and Petal Pink or something else? I love the color scheme! Beautiful job!!!

    Thanks

    • Hi Jone,

Thanks for your kind comments. The colours are Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink. The embossed magnolia on the card is highlighted with Whisper White Craft ink lightly sponged on with a dauber.
