My Meadow Facebook Live

On yesterday’s Facebook Live video I had a go with the new My Meadow stamp set.  It is another in Stampin’ Up!’s series of what I call, “scene-builder” sets, along with Waterfront (AC p. 125) and Snow Front (carried over from the Holiday Catalogue, yay!).

You can watch the replay of my video on Facebook or on YouTube to see the stamp set in action.

I took my inspiration from several cards posted by Gail Ellis, though I did change some things up to make them my own.

This was my pre-video test card, LOL.  Because the set is largely a collection of “blobs” that can be combined to make scenes, I wanted to have a play before I was live in front of an Internet audience.  After I stamped my scene I cut it out using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies, layering it on top of another one.

This is similar to the above scene, but this time I made a floating frame around the image panel.

On this one I asked for layering and sentiment input from my audience, and I got run through my paces!  I finally called it quits and said I’d surprise them on this blog post with how I wound up finishing it.  What do you think, ladies?  The image panel was also stamped and then cut out with a Layering Ovals die.

This was the last card I made on the video.  I again stamped the scene and cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle die before layering it on Crumb Cake.  I did wind up using the sun stamp from Waterfront as there isn’t an equivalent in My Meadow.

A note on Victoria Bushfire Relief:  I mentioned on my video today that I’m offering packs of greeting cards on my website with a portion of the price going to 2 Victorian charities that are playing a large role in bushfire relief efforts, both for people and wildlife.  You are welcome to make a purchase, or, if you prefer, to make a direct donation to these organisations.  Thank you for any support you can give.

I’m looking forward to playing around more with combining these sets to make scenes.  And, now that Snow Front is going to be around for a while longer I may add that to my collection, too!  I’ve included all 3 sets on the list below for your convenience.
