No Matter the Weather

Today’s post is also my contribution to the #keepstamping Weekly Challenge issued by Stampin’ Up!  This challenge was to use any or all of the colours in the picture above: Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay.  It just so happens that all of these colours are featured in the Birthday Bonanza Suite!

After all that buildup, are you ready to see my card?

Surprise!  No cute animals on this card!

I decided to use the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper along with the Under My Umbrella Bundle to make several of this card to say “Thank You” for your friendship. (Kylie’s theme this month is “Thank You.”)  

I stamped the boots and the open umbrella in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 3 different patterns of the paper, then punched out the umbrella and hand-snipped the boots.  The handle of the umbrella was also punched in Basic Black cardstock.  A 2 cm (¾”) strip of Whisper White was used for the sentiment and “ground”, and the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder was used on the Daffodil Delight panel.

On this one I used Bird Ballad DSP and Calypso Coral for the background layer.  A great way to use up scraps!

I am introducing a new format for my Monthly Card Class.  I will provide a kit and written instructions to make 5 cards.  Participants will be able to add sentiments as desired with their own stamps and inks.  Kits can be picked up from my residence using safe, social distancing protocols, or I can ship via Australia Post tracked satchel.
