Powder Pink Cake

I don’t really consider myself drawn to the pale pinks (and we have 3 of them in our palette right now!), but this is my second monochromatic Powder Pink card for the week.  It’s another card we made in my February card class.

This card uses Piece of Cake and Amazing Life stamp sets.  We stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed in white on a powder pink layer.  Then it was run through the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I set up the cake, cake stand and candles on the Stamparatus.  The beauty of this is that once the pieces are properly aligned they can be stamped repeatedly without errors.  We stamped them with Versamark and heat embossed in white, then cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits.

We used the Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker to colour in the “cake”  and roses.  It keeps the monochrome colour scheme but adds tone to the card.  Whisper White for the card base and scalloped oval mat  and retired Powder Pink ribbon finish it off.
