I just finished spending a great weekend with long-time friends in Washington, D.C. We were supposed to be meeting up in Asheville, North Carolina, but Hurricane Helene flooded out those plans. Not willing to miss out on our gathering, we quickly switched destinations, and the weekend was saved.
I made this card for the friend who did the planning for Asheville. It’s a 5″ x 7″ version of this card that we made in my September Monthly Medley Class. My friend loves trees, and we were supposed to be in Asheville for peak leaf-peeping season, so I thought it would be appropriate.
I am still in love with the colour-blending on these leaves, and the wash of Copper Metallic Enamel Effects over the top.
To give everyone in our group enough room to write a brief message and sign, I made 2 writing panels on the inside.
You can see how much bigger the 5″ x 7″ card is from the standard size we usually make. It’s fun to change it up sometimes!
