I CASE’d this card’s design from page 34 of the September – December Mini Catalogue. Can you spot the changes I made?
First, my card is made from A4 cardstock, so it’s a different size, and shows more uncovered Night Of Navy.
Here’s how I made those lacy elements for the background…I used a Blending Brush to add Night Of Navy ink to a piece of Basic White before using the die in the bundle. Usually I caution you to avoid blotches, but in this case I wanted a lot of variability in the colouring.
Second, I swapped out the Pretty Peacock and Blackberry Bliss cardstock on two of the label borders for the luscious Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper in Pretty Peacock and Berry Bliss. Do you have some in your stash or grab it from the recently refreshed Clearance Rack (I just checked – it looks like it’s sold out in the South Pacific)?
I’m really a fan of this label shape and outline die duo, as well as the pretty mixed font used for the sentiments.
