Rings of Love Bird Gatefold Card

I saw a card that someone made with a similar cut edge on this bird print from the Rings Of Love DSP, and decided to try to make my own.

The Card base is an offset gatefold card made with the same dimensions I used on the Awash In Beauty Fun Fold Card I made the other week.

The difference is really just the width of the layers for the left flap…I fussy cut the right edge of the DSP to overlap the right flap , then adhered it to the Soft Suede layer and fussy cut to match the line of the DSP.

I also dressed up the right flap just a touch with some speckles stamped in Soft Sea Foam to match the ones on the DSP.

I attached the ribbon underneath the Soft Suede layer and on the back of the card with some Tear & Tape to be able to tie the card closed. You may notice that my ribbon tails are left long…I usually give them a final snip once I’m ready to send it, so that if an end frays I can neaten it up after writing inside and tying it closed.
