See A Silhouette Mix and Match

At OnStage Live in April, Sara Douglass, CEO of Stampin’ Up! showed us her idea for a class.  She is a very vibrant, spunky woman, quite clean-and-contemporary in her taste (very different from her mom’s soft, vintage, shabby-chic taste; yes, her mom is Shelli Gardner, co-founder and Chair of the Board at SU!).

Her plan is to give each attendee ¼ of a package of the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper (½ sheet of each of 6 sheets) and have them punch the entire stack with the Tailored Tag Punch, then adhere the punched pieces to Notecards and add sentiments.  Here’s what some of her projects looked like (in a quick photo of the giant video screen):

Pretty cool, right?  So I decided to make my own version during my Facebook Live broadcast last Wednesday.  You can watch the replay on Facebook or YouTube, and even set up reminders on each for when I go live, or when I post a replay.  I made a few during that broadcast, and showed them with various sentiments.  I will be gifting the complete set of 15 notecards, and have attached Dimensionals to the back of the sentiments but not to the cards themselves.  This will allow the recipient to choose the appropriate sentiment and card to send out.

It’s like quilt piecing!  So much fun colour and pattern to play with!

Someone said, “A card is a hug with a fold in the middle.”  What a lovely idea…but we can go beyond that!  Come make a variety of cards that go beyond a simple crease…different to the ones made in June’s class!  You will also receive a printout with directions for each type of fold. Learn how to use these amazing watercolour pigment crystals on your projects.  We’ll be doing a variety of techniques, some of which will wind up on finished cards, others will be yours to take home to continue working with.  Note: I will supply gloves, but please wear clothes that can get accidentally stained without distress. All supplies and afternoon tea included. $30.

Christmas Stamp-A-Stack

Attendees will literally stamp a stack of cards!  5 each of 5 designs for a total of 25 cards, all ready to send out for the holidays!  Note: this session may run long (or short) depending on how quickly each individual completes her cards.  Suitable for novice and experienced crafters, though most will feel more comfortable having attended one of my previous sessions.  All supplies and afternoon tea included. $50.
