It’s been a while since I’ve participated in a card challenge. I usually choose a sketch challenge, but recently my team’s leader, Kylie Bertucci, posted the current Colour INKspiration Challenge to our team page and it really resonated with me. The challenge is to use Black, White and Cherry Cobbler on a card.
I knew when I started this card that I wanted to use some of the black & white designs from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper that’s available as a Host Rewards option in the 2021-22 Annual Catalogue.
I also knew I wanted to use the Poppy Moments Dies.
I then had to figure out the layout, sentiment, and embellishments. Can you see the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder I used on the Basic White strip? I did this after stamping the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossing with black embossing powder.
I like how the Cherry Cobbler mat under the centre strip connects the colour from the poppies with the rest of the card.
Why don’t you challenge yourself to play along? Check out all the guidelines, make your card, and upload it to the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group and to the Nancy’s Nifty Notemakers Facebook Group!
