I played along with the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #106, which is to use Basic White, Night of Navy, Real Red and Pool Party.
I let the challenge percolate in my head overnight, before coming up with this idea. It evolved as I made it…for example I thought I’d be able to use both sailboats in the Sailing Home set, but when I laid it out it was clear there wasn’t enough room.
The Layering Diorama dies are very fun to work with. The asymmetric design gives a very organic feel to the layering, as does the texture of the Bark 3D embossing folder I used for the sea.
Once again the outstanding colour matching of Stampin’ Up! products enabled me to stamp on Basic White cardstock and use my Pool Party Stampin’ Blends markers to colour the parts of the images I wanted to blend into the Pool Party background layer.
