The other day I spotted this card by Patty Bennett, and got very excited. Not only was the card very striking, but it made me realise that the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder coordinates with the Crushed Curry floral pattern in the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. I had to make my own version ASAP!
First, I had to play a bit to line up the DSP in the embossing folder.
You can see the difference between the unembossed and the embossed papers! The embossed reminds me of cut velvet fabric.
I changed up some elements…like the amount of Basic Black and the black-and-white check paper that’s the reverse of the Crushed Curry floral print.
I also used Butterfly Brilliance for my decorative images, as I don’t have the Hand-Penned Petals set (shocking, I know!).
The sentiment comes from the Hippo Happiness set and is cut with the coordinating Hippo & Friends Dies. As I said in the unboxing video last week when I received this bundle, I’m not really into the images in the set, but the sentiments and dies are fantastic.
