It’s been quite a while since I’ve pulled out this stamp set…I think it’s been a sleeper in both last year’s and this year’s annual catalogues, in part because it wasn’t part of a big suite of products, and in part because while the images are beautiful and the dies are great, the sentiments are all wedding-themed, which can have limited appeal. I just chose a sentiment from a different set!
I chose to colour the image with 4 sets of Stampin’ Blends Markers, Petal Pink, Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron, and Soft Succulent. The colours are very close, but add just a touch more variety to the effort.
For my background I cut some rectangles using the Picture This Dies, and put them through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the new Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Then I swirled on a tiny bit of Smoky Slate ink, just so the texture was a bit more visible.
You may have noticed that I added an “extra” rectangle to my card front, and elongated the branch of blooms at the top with extra buds and leaves. If you want to replicate this design and are working with Letter cardstock you will probably find that it will be too tall…the cards made with A4 cardstock are taller and narrower than the Letter cards.
