OK – before anyone gets upset about Hanukkah not being the Jewish equivalent to Christmas, and so shouldn’t be part of Merry Monday, let me share my philosophy on most December holidays…they’re all about bringing light to what is the darkest part of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. So I send seasonal greetings to all my friends, regardless of what holiday they observe, and I’m showcasing them here for all to see.
These 2 cards are very similar…only a differences are in how the Curvy Die was used on the Whisper White cardstock and which Stampin’ Blends Markers were used on the little Bluebirds of Happiness. The Woodland embossing folder has been around for several years now, and I still love it! Using a bit of Whisper White Craft Ink on a sponge dauber really helps the trees stand out. The sentiment is from a long-retired set, Jewish Celebrations. It debuted in 2012, and is the last time SU! had a set dedicated to Jewish themes. There are a lot of us demonstrators who keep requesting a new one, or for this one to be re-issued! If you need a Happy Hanukkah sentiment you can find one in these sets:
- Snowflake Wishes MC, p. 38;
- A Wish for Everything, AC p, 14;
- Itty Bitty Greetings, AC p. 44.
This card has both the birds and the leafy vine from the Quite Curvy stamp set. I coloured them with the Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers. Did you notice I pulled out a different Curvy die? The vine is stamped on a bit of Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper, which will be debuting in the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue.
Here’s what I used to make these cards:
