Stampin’ Up! Love of Leaves Friendship Card

Over the weekend I had another play with the Love of Leaves bundle while Noah (the 9-week-old Seeing Eye Dog puppy we’re caring for) took a good nap.  

One of my favourite things about this bundle is the optional stitched inner die that adds such great detail and texture to the leaves.  Another favourite thing is that when you buy the bundle of stamps and dies together you save 10% off buying them individually!

This colour palette is very representative of Melbourne this weekend…it was cloudy, grey and chilly, but there’s evidence of Spring popping out everywhere in the leaves, grass and flowers.  I stamped the leaves with their respective ink colours on cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Old Olive.  The card base and sentiment are Gray Granite, and the DSP is In Good Taste.

Once I had the leaves and sentiment stamped and die-cut, I arranged them how I liked and used Glad Press N Seal to flip them over and apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.   Here’s an example of how I use the Dimensionals to adhere the leaves together into one element to be placed on the card:

I also added a length of the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim to the back of the leaves with a bit of sticky tape and unravelled the ends.  Then I removed the Dimensional backings and flipped it all over to place where I wanted it on the card front.  A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and it was complete!
