Are you like me and needing a stash of small gifts for people in your life? Hairdressers, building staff, host gifts (maybe not so much this year), etc.? I’ve made 2 versions of this gift pack that holds 8 Merci chocolates.
I found boxes of the Merci chocolates at Aldi here in Australia. I know I’ve seen them in the USA, too, Here’s what they look like:
I CASE’d the design from Janet Blaauw. Here are measurements and directions:
Cardstock: (1) piece 22 x 15 cm, (2) pieces 7 x 11 cm, (1) piece 29.7 x 4 cm
DSP: (4) pieces 9.5 x 14.5 cm, (2) pieces 1.5 x 14.5 cm, (2) pieces 6.8 x 4.8 cm
Decorative pieces as desired.
- Score large cardstock piece on 22 cm side at 10 and 12 cm. Fold and burnish your score lines.
- Adhere DSP to both sides.
- Score both small pieces of cardstock at 1 cm and 1.9 cm on 1 long side and both short sides. Fold and burnish all score lines.
- Snip on score lines so that your pieces look like this:
- Adhere the pocket together like this:
- Adhere the small pieces of DSP to the front side of the pockets
- Use Tear & Tape or Liquid Glue to adhere the pockets on each side.
- Wrap the remaining strip of cardstock around the closed package, adhering together in the front. Add ribbon or a strip of DSP if desired. Hide the seam with your label/decorative elements.
