Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Slimline Card

This is the project I made on this week’s Facebook Live video.  You can watch the replay on YouTube or Facebook, and you can sign up on either platform to get notified when I go live or post a new video.

I CASE’d this card from my friend, Tatiana Tobin.  As I mentioned in my video, this morning was a bit hectic with Glenn going into meetings at 7:30, a grocery delivery at 7:45, and an HVAC technician just past 8:00.  So my video shows me doing the entire process.

The only change I made on this card from Tania’s is the centre embellishment.  I love the Beaded Pearls that are part of the Poinsettia Place Suite, but I also find that these Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots work really nicely, too.  I mention in the video that we have some very similar embellishments in the current Mini Catalogue, too, Wonderful Gems, which are Real Red and Clear with gold glitter.  Happily, they will be carrying over to next year’s July – December Mini Catalogue, so feel free to stock up knowing they’ll be around to use with the Poinsettia bundle that will also be back in the 2021-22 Annual Catalogue.

If you watched the video you will have seen that I made an error the first time I tried to cut and score the card base (I scored on the wrong edge of the cardstock and wound up with a smaller card than intended).  After I ended the video I went back and scaled down the Garden Green and DSP layers and made a second card.

Can you spot the one change I made to this one (besides scaling down 1 cm on the length)?

I used a different die to cut the sentiment.

Thanks, Tania, for a fun card to recreate!
