It is really easy to overlook the new Layering Diorama Dies when flipping through the Annual Catalogue the first time or three…they’re used on an example on page 12, and that’s it! They don’t coordinate with any particular stamp set, which is something new we’re seeing in this catalogue, so they don’t stand out with flashing lights. But when you start to see the possibilities…oooh, what fun! As I often do when using a product for the first time, I looked for inspiration. I found it with Gail Ellis, and CASE’d one of her cards.
So shiny! I used Gold Embossing Powder on the palm trees and tropical flowers, plus cut out the leaves and small blossoms from Gold Foil Sheets. And, of course, there is gold foil veining in the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper (DSP).
There are also 3 kinds of embellishments…2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots on the small flowers, Gilded Gems on the larger, stamped flowers, and some Elegant Faceted Gems on the DSP “pool”.
Aren’t the Layering Diorama Dies shapes fun? I’m looking forward to seeing how else to use these.
