I’m going to ‘fess up – I purchased the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper without either of the coordinating stamp sets and dies bundles. Shocking, I know! I decided that I had enough other sets in my stash already or that ranked higher on my wish list.
So when I CASE’d this card design from p. 8 of the July – December Mini Catalogue I had to make some changes.
It was pretty easy to swap out greenery from the Holly Berries Dies, and a different sentiment label.
The candy canes are actually quite easy to fussy-cut by hand with our super-sharp Paper Snips. There are 2 full sheets of them in the DSP pack, and I cut 18 of them for my class. This is the perfect job to do while getting caught up on the week’s episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19!
The other bright and cheerful patterns in the paper pack work really well with my other holiday stamp sets, and I’ve been making good use of them. While I know I’d love creating with the suite’s stamp sets and dies, I’m also not really missing them. Don’t be afraid of only purchasing some of a suite…it can be a wise way to stretch your budget.
