Two-Tone Flora Stitched Greenery Card

Can you believe we’re about to launch a new Mini Catalogue? It’s very exciting! If you’re in Australia and aren’t working with another Demonstrator I’d love to send you a copy of your own…just click here and I’ll get one right out to you. The products in this catalogue (and Sale-A-Bration) are available starting 5 January, woo-hoo!

I love the colour combination on this sheet of Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also like the texture of the daubs of paint. But an entire card front of it just seemed to be too much.

So I decided to make a window layer out of Basic White. I cut it smaller than the card front itself so that a border of DSP would show. After stamping the sentiment I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery Die for some texture.

When using 2-Step stamps like these flowers we usually stamp the larger part of the image, then add the smaller, but with these it works more easily to stamp the details in darker ink, then add the petals in the lighter ink.

Finally, I added a double bow and some Opal Rounds to the flower centres for some sparkle. I debated cutting the tails of the ribbon so short, but decided to for ease getting it into an envelope. I think I’d prefer it with longer tails…oh, well.
