Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms/mums, but especially my mom!
This is the card I made especially for her. She is a fibre artist specialising in hand-dyed yarns and handwoven fabrics, often designing fabulous garments from her products. While I consider myself an accomplished crafter, she is a true artist, so I always feel a bit of a challenge designing cards for her. Here’s this year’s attempt.
To acheive the woven background I laid out strips of Basic White cardstock, then wove lengths of the now-retired Wavy Trim over and under them before securing everything to a panel of Basic White.
The plants and pots are from Planted Paradise, and I heat embossed the sentiment from Perennial Postage.
I was tempted to add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to this, but I know my mom usually prefers no sparkle, so I restrained myself.
