I’ve been having fun playing around with the You Are Remarkable stamp set. You may have seen me use it on my Facebook Live video last week. Today I’m sharing three cards that use the same layout and concept in different colour palettes.
Toile (formally “Toile de Jouy”) is a style of monochromatic fabric painting with a repeating pattern. I decided to play around with this image in a variety of colours for the background layer. The top one is Old Olive (the fill patterns are stamped-off).
These two are Lemon Lolly in full strength..
I think I prefer the Basic White layer over the Lemon Lolly layer, how about you?
Definitely preferring the Basic White and Old Olive on the inside panels.
Decided to try a pop of colour on the focal image by adding in Strawberry Slush and Lemon Lolly for the flower. Also, the leaves are filled with full-strength ink. No sentiment on the front for this one, but a double-wrap and bow of Linen Thread.
This one’s done in Crumb Cake (outline), Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam. I think it’s my favourite of the three. I like the sentiment from Round We Go, as well as the Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine double bow.
And again with the Strawberry Slush and Old Olive. This one includes the sentiment but omits the bow.
It was fun to play with the colours and little details without re-inventing the entire card…do you like to do this too?
